With this week’s Cadence Bank Houston Open and next week’s RSM Classic being the last two regular tournaments on the PGA Tour’s 2022 calendar, rookie Taylor Montgomery is easily the most improved player in the world since the Tour’s 2021-’22 season ended in August. Montgomery’s Hawley Rating is up 813.7 points since then, and he’s ranked 13th in the world after his third top-10 (and fifth straight top-20) this fall. Ben Griffin is the second-most improved and ranked 73rd.

Patrick Cantlay, absent the last four weeks, remains no. 1.
