With this list, alookatgolf.com presents the 100 most-improved players during the 2023 season. The list is, of course, headed by 24-year-oldd Swede Ludvig Aberg, who turned pro in June and won twice before calling it a year.

The players are ranked by their Hawley Number delta between the close of 2022 and the close of 2023. In Aberg’s case, he went from zero to a rating number of 1285, resulting in a Hawley Ratings rank of 19th. He won on both the PGA Tour (RSM Classic in November) and the DP World Tour (Omega European Masters in September).

Second on the list is world no. 1 Scottie Scheffler, up from no. 5 at this time a year ago and winner at Phoenix and the Players. Michael Thorbjornsen, a 22-year old Ohio native who is a senior at Stanford, made the list as an amateur. He played five pro events, with a best finish of 17th in the Deere. Peter Kuest is the top DP World Tour player on the list. 21-year-olds Akshay Bhatia, Ryo Hisatune, and Tom Kim are the youngest players on the list.
