LIV Golf kicks off their 2024 season this weekend with their second Mayakoba, Mexico event. This year’s lineup includes an “expansion team” – Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII. Joining Rahm on the team are Tyrrell Hatton (from England, no. 8 in the current Hawley Ratings), Kieran Vincent (Zimbabwe, no. 532), and recent amateur Caleb Surratt (U. of Tennessee). Other new faces in the LIV league are Lucas Herbert (Australia, no. 97), Jinichiro Kozuma (Japan, no. 340), Adrian Meronk (Poland, no. 105), Andy Ogletree (U.S., part-time on LIV in 2023, no. 166), and Kalle Samooja (Finland, no. 337). Hopefully you will not be troubled too greatly by the absences of the departed Sihwan Kim, Chase Koepka, Jed Morgan, James Piot, and Bernd Weisberger.
